JULIET ANTELMI (CD:DONA) is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor), Certified Havening Technique Practitioner, Birth Assistant to practicing Home Birth Midwives, CPR Certified, All inclusive Yoga Instructor, Reiki Practitioner, and a practicing yogini meditator for over 20 years. Serving the lower Hudson Valley, Westchester county and NYC area. In addition to her private clients, she also serves women through Healthy Women Healthy Future in the New York Area (A New York City Dept. of Health Sponsored Initiative).
Juliet earned a degree in Hospitality Management. She also has a Montessori Early Childhood Education degree, she taught at Hudson Montessori prior to having her family.
Juliet was born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, West Indies, a beautiful Island in the Caribbean. This is where her approach and philosophy to birth, family, life and living was influenced. This makes her embracing and sensitive to all cultures in her approach to birth. In all those years, never once has her passion waived for being a Lightworker in serving humanity across many spectrums. Juliet was very much active in attending to friends and family members before, during and after birth while living in Jamaica where labor and birth were considered normal.
Juliet’s philosophies and beliefs about pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, birth and after birth are also based on her personal experiences in birthing her 3 children. She believes motherhood starts before conception, through a conscious or subconscious connection between mother and spirit baby.
Juliet strives to make every birth an empowering experience, holding the space for Mom to have the birth of her choice. She supports evidence-based birth along with women who have a different approach to birthing, as being culturally, spiritually, or intuitively listening in and tapping into the energy of the sages of their ancestors. She supports birth whether at home, in birthing centers, or within a hospital setting. Juliet lives in Westchester with her husband and 3 children.

Classes in Hawthorne and Irvington, New York
marianne101366@yahoo.com
MARIANNE LETIZIA has been teaching yoga for six years, including various Hatha styles as well as pre-and post-natal yoga. She studied pre- and post-natal yoga with Colette Crawford in Seattle, Washington, and has been teaching those classes in New York City and at Yoga Works in Irvington, NY. In prenatal yoga, the pregnant woman uses yoga postures and breathing exercises to gain strength and flexibility for the birth, improve circulation and oxygen intake for both mom and baby, and to relax the body and mind for the duration of the pregnancy.
In post-natal yoga, the new mom learns to interact with her child while doing the yoga poses, use the yoga postures and breathing exercises to strengthen abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, as well as release shoulder and neck muscles. Songs and gentle play are used throughout the class to capture the attention of the child. In October 2007, Marianne started teaching pre-natal and hatha yoga classes in Hawthorne, NY. Please call or email to inquire about classes.

I am a mom, grandmother, birth and postpartum doula, prenatal yoga instructor and certified lactation counselor located in Northern Westchester County. My passion is supporting birthing families throughout pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood. In addition to creating strength, flexibility and stamina, prenatal yoga can build an understanding of the relaxation and breathing techniques that can help ease the common discomforts of pregnancy, labor and birth. I understand that birth is a powerful, natural process unique to each person/birth, and that people benefit from nurturing support during pregnancy and labor. As a CLC who has nursed four babies, I have firsthand knowledge of human lactation and the nutritional needs of infants and nursing humans as well as the skills to understand and formulate potential solutions for feeding issues.
