I am Nurse Practitioner of Psychiatry specializing in Women's Mental Health and the founder of Nested Perinatal Psychiatry (nestedperinatal.com). I have completed clinical training in psychiatry at New York University, Bellevue Hospital, and Zucker Hillside Hospital in the Department of Perinatal Psychiatry. While training I was the recipient of the Postpartum Support International Cynthia Wachenheim Memorial Training Scholar Award and Seleni Maternal Mental Health Intensive Training Scholar Award.

I have expertise in both psychotherapy and medication management across the reproductive lifespan with a focus on working with individuals during prenatal planning, pregnancy and postpartum life stages. I have previously provided specialized care to perinatal patients at Columbia University as part of the Women's Mental Health team, embedded within The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and at Brooklyn Parent Support.

Prior to my career in mental health I worked as a pediatric and neonatal critical care nurse. In this role I became an advocate for integrative maternal mental health care across obstetric, neonatal and pediatric medical care. I absolutely loved this work. The experience became the foundation for my research examining the intersection of maternal mental health and neonatal critical illness/perinatal loss. I have previously presented on treatment of grief in pregnancy at Columbia University Center for Prolonged Grief .

I founded Nested Perinatal Psychiatry after recognizing a gap in local maternal mental health care. The focus of my practice is providing medication management to perinatal populations. I am passionate about collaborating with psychotherapists, obstetricians and gynecologists, birth workers and community members to expand access to this specialized care.
