RICKI ROMM, LCSW
Couples and Individual Therapy
www.rickirommtherapy.com
Many of the people I work with feel caught in roles and dynamics where they don’t fully shine. Individuals often come in worried that they don’t think or feel the way they should, or that they are just somehow flawed. Couples feel lonely and angry, longing for deeper connection.
Clients come to me looking for a therapist who can (gently!) help them explore outside their comfort zones. I don’t just sit and listen – I am curious, engaged, and active. I’m here to partner with you by asking questions, offering feedback, and looking at old patterns from new perspectives.
Therapy is a place where you can practice being the full you, safely trying out ideas and feelings you haven’t always welcomed or have been reluctant to share with a partner.
We’ll examine how past experiences and relationships might inform the way you operate today, identify the strengths and resources you already have, and talk about how to use them to live and relate in ways that are authentic and meaningful to you.
I’m a therapist who is in therapy, a mom to 3 who can’t get enough of her kids and longs for me-time, and a would-be cat lady who is allergic to cats. I believe that our complexities and contradictions are what make us most lovable and relatable, and I can’t wait to get to know about yours.

MAGGIE ROSENFELD is a Mental Health Counselor, Reiki practitioner and Matrona-certified birth and postpartum doula. Passionate about supporting growing families, Maggie has worked alongside hundreds of families in the tristate area since 2015. As a birth and postpartum doula, Maggie realized that many families were struggling with the transition into parenthood. Sensing a need for stronger postpartum support, she founded Two New Hands in 2020, connecting families to experienced caregivers. With nearly two decades of experience, Maggie is intimately familiar with the barriers that exist for new parents to receive mental health support and is committed to making a difference. She is now working with individuals in a more traditional therapeutic setting to help address anxiety and perinatal mental health.
Maggie believes the transition to parenthood is profound. New parents and entire families can experience deep joy and happiness, as well as grief, stress, and overwhelm. Maggie’s goal is to provide emotional safety to clients so they can accept these feelings and begin to build the self-confidence they need to feel empowered to make their lives more fulfilling.
Maggie shows up authentically to every session, with warmth and humor, so her clients feel safe to share their stories openly and honestly. She believes the only way to foster growth and possibility is through vulnerability. Maggie is empathic and intuitive, choosing to focus on changing thought patterns, identifying family structures, and addressing the body/mind connection during sessions.
Coming from a large, multicultural family herself, Maggie welcomes individuals with diverse backgrounds and identities. Having five adopted siblings, Maggie appreciates the unique ways families originate and the challenges that may accompany them. She actively supports LGBTQAI+ individuals and families.
Maggie received her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Iona University. She also completed specialized training for Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International (PSI). Maggie continues to expand her knowledge of alternative mental health practices, body and breath work, as well as the latest perinatal support practices, including psychedelic-supported therapy.
