I approach photography as an art, treating every moment like pieces to create evidence of history. A visual memory can pulse your experience back to life. In the past 15 years, I had the honor to capture weddings, family portraits and studio. On my birthday, I captured my first birth pulsing back my passion for photography to life. As a certified birth doula and childbirth educator I honor the process of giving birth.  Every client is different and I am meticulous about capturing each moment respecting who they are.

KATYI LEEMAN is a registered nurse, certified birth doula, childbirth educator, and birth photographer. Above all, she is a mother to the most wonderful little boy. She lives in Orange County with her husband and toddler, their sweet yellow lab Winnie, and two cats, Leo and Pumpkin. Inspired by her own pregnancy and birth experiences, she has spent the last three years absorbing as much education and guidance from the birth community as she can to provide holistic, genuine care for women during labor & delivery as well as prenatally and in postpartum. She serves the Hudson Valley, NYC, and some parts of NJ/PA/CT.

“Birth is where a woman meets herself”; this quote is a large part of why Katyi became a doula and birth photographer. That intimate, fleeting moment of delivering your baby is underrated and undervalued by society, yet deserves the support and documentation other big moments of our lives get. More than that, it deserves reverence.

Katyi believes in the right to be informed, the right to advocate and be heard, the right to birth the way you choose. She combines her passion for service of others and avid learning to provide the highest quality of care, respect, and understanding. She leads in practice that women should be allowed to birth as they choose, with whom they choose. She is the person who will hold your hand, affirm your birth, remind you that you were born to do this (because you were!), and utilize every skill she has learned as well as her clinical understanding to create the safest, calmest environment for you to bring your baby into the world. She will also capture tangible reminders for when your heart aches to relive that memory.

With passion and dedication for women’s healthcare and birthwork, she is here for Your Story, With Love.

I am a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and Fertility Support Person. I am a IVF mother of three, including twins. I became passionate about women's health and advocacy while in the the trenches of unexplained infertility. I felt my success in having my children was solely based on my personal research and advocation. When my first daughter, Siena, was born, I suffered from birth trauma which lead to postpartum anxiety. I knew instantly that my purpose was to help women to have a more prepared and positive birth and postpartum experience. I was further motivated and eager to become educated in birth, postpartum and family support as I found the resources available to new parents are limited but very much needed.

I took the last three years to be a stay-at-home mom and take the necessary courses, workshops, and hands-on experiences to be fully prepared to help others. I hold a wealth of knowledge in preconception care and IVF for those looking for someone to educate them on the process while offering emotional support. In addition, I am a safe sleep ambassador who assists new parents with newborn sleep safety and training. Each of my services include candid photography for parents to have fond memories of their birth or early days with baby. I look forward to serving the families of Hudson Valley!
